日月潭周邊地形樣貌多變、群巒層翠，附近遍佈著許多步道，也因為環山繞湖的特點，而各步道皆有獨特迷人風貌。無論是湖邊或者日月潭制高點，都能欣賞到不同的山湖共織之美。

The ever-changing terrain surrounding Sun Moon Lake is made up of many breathtaking mountain ranges.  Because of the particular typographic character between the terrain and the lake, there are many amazing scenic walks and tracks for visitors to explore of all superb viewpoints around the Lake.  For it being a walk right by the lake, or a track to the highest point of the mountain ranges – there are many versions of picturesque views woven between the terrain and the lake waiting to be discovered.
